Crackley, Staffordshire : ウィキペディア英語版
Crackley

Crackley is an estate in the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. It lies on the edge of the larger village of Chesterton and is mainly made up of mid to late 20th century housing.
It has a small amount of shops, though most local shopping is done in Chesterton . It has one primary school, Crackley Bank Primary School, and most children from this area usually attend Chesterton Community Sports College after leaving.
The housing estate was built at the start of the 1960s and consisting council houses and housing for the Miners who mainly worked at Holditch colliery in Chesterton . There were a number of shops on a parade on Birchouse Road but they have disappeared over the years. A supermarket used to exist on Holly road run by the Co-Op. After the store closed it was turned into a community center.
A doctors surgery existed on Cherry Tree Road but moved to Chesterton in the late 70's.
This was a vibrate community with a pub and number of shops, however the estate suffers from lack of investment from the local authority. The pub which was situated on Whitethorn Way closed and was left derelict.
